Flowing back
Last month, we were glad to receive our partners from Mallorca, for some training. Last weekend, it was their turn to host us.
Sadly, only a couple of us could make it, but we managed to train for a total of four half-day sessions, starting Friday night.
We trained mostly kenjutsu, constrained by the hassle of shipping iaito to the islands, trying to get the stress-relax timing right. Then, also some yawara and shuriken training. We need more work, but it feels in the right direction, filling up holes in mechanics that had crept up these last years.
Take care.

The river flows because it lives
Sorry, I got poetic. It wasn't my first intention.
Last weekend we finally managed to restart common training. With a vengeance. After years of trying, we managed a common meeting with the people from Mallorca, even if some people from the Balearic Islands couldn't make it. A day and a half, plus a bit on Friday night, thanks to a friendly dojo where some of us have found a new training home. Plus, we also managed to get in touch with former students of Tatsumi who'd been confused with recent changes.
Tired, a tad sore, happy.
Old training places wither, new ones emerge. But Tatsumi-Spain is still alive.
